Sylvester Stallone will be honored at the upcoming Zurich Film Festival with the inaugural Golden Icon Award for lifetime achievement.

Stallone will personally accept the prize at the event, which runs September 25 to October 5, 2008. The fest will present a retrospective of Stallone’s work, including the entire Rocky and Rambo series, as well as James Mangold’s 1997 crime drama Cop Land.

Stallone will also present the world premiere of his director’s cut of this year’s Rambo.
