Sylvester Stallone started the U.S. Olympic torch relay from the edge of the Pacific Ocean in Venice Beach, Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 16, 2004.

Stallone, who has recently launched a range of fitness supplements through his Instone company, turns 58 on July 6. Thanks to Sly for helping the Olympic torch on its epic journey to the Athens 2004 Games.
