Andy Karl (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Legally Blonde, Wicked), will star as Rocky Balboa alongside Margo Seibert as his painfully shy partner Adrian in the $15 million boxing musical Rocky, which is set to begin performances at the Winter Garden Theater in February.

The musical, which premiered with a German-language production in Hamburg, has music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens (Tony Award winners for Ragtime) and a book by Thomas Meehan (Tony winner for Annie, The Producers and Hairspray). Tony nominee Alex Timbers will direct, as he did in Hamburg.

Sylvester Stallone is producing the musical, which closely follows the plot of the first Rocky movie. Rocky previews begin on February 11, 2014, and it opens on March 13, 2014. Get more info and book tickets at http://www.rockybroadway.com.
