Sylvester Stallone, director John Herzfeld and producer Cassian Elwes have successfully reached their Kickstarter goal of raising an additional $250,000 to finish Reach Me.

The film boasts a star-studded ensemble, with Stallone joined by  the likes of Thomas Jane (Hung), Kevin Connolly (Entourage) as well as Kelsey Grammar, Kyra Sedgwick, Tom Sizemore, Danny Trejo and rapper Nelly. The film follows a group of characters who are brought together by a self-help book written by an anonymous author.

The Kickstarter campaign started on August 20th and had 30 days to meet its $250,000 goal. The project is still open until Sept. 19th. Other celebrities such as Zach Braff and Spike Lee have used Kickstarter to fund movies outside the studio system.

Congrats Sly and team!
