With the recent debut of Strong on NBC, fans may be interested to know that there are a couple of other Stallone TV projects on the way.

Streaming service Netflix are partnering with producers Sylvester Stallone and Dave Broome (The Biggest Loser) for a 10-episode show called Ultimate Beastmaster, hosted by Terry Crews and Charissa Thompson.

The show sees 108 competitors from the U.S., Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, Germany and Japan (18 from each country) going up against one another to run one of the most physically demanding obstacle courses ever devised, The Beast.

“The world will watch in awe as amazing competitors from around the globe overcome grueling physical challenges” said Stallone, “the course is unequaled in its daring creation and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Stallone is also attached to star in the television adaptation of Mario Puzo’s Omertà, the third book in the mafia trilogy that started with The Godfather. The pilot script and series outline are already in place for the project which is led by director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day).

Omertà will be Stallone’s first scripted TV series. He recently won the Golden Globe for Creed and was also nominated for the Academy Award for his reprisal of the character of Rocky Balboa in the film.

Sylvester is one of the very few actors that I follow today knowing that I will not be let down. Moving to T.V. is a smart idea as long as the quality of writing, direction and acting is of the very best. I wish Sly all the best for the future and look forward to seeing the result of his new project. All the best Tony
