“He was magic, and I was so fortunate to be part of his life,” said Stallone.
Weathers, who began his career as an NFL linebacker, is remembered for his memorable roles in the Rocky series, Predator, Happy Gilmore, and The Mandalorian among many others. He died February 1, 2024 at the age of 76.

50 years of Rocky 2026, Carl Weathers is the absolute best. He was made to play Apollo Creed. What a great movie. I can’t wait for the movie I Play Rocky to come out on the 50th anniversary of Rocky!!! RIP Carl Weathers!!!
